As expected, this was not a very long episode. The sign was made of plastic and it really stood no chance against the might of what was unleashed upon it! As for smell, typical burning cardboard smell, nothing awesome or disturbing!

Finally, an experiment that actually smells half decent, in fact this actually kinda smelt nice in a strange way. Apart from the extremely burnt edges and the resulting half-moon appearance... Not a bad experiment at all! I wouldn't use this to cure a human cold tho!

Want rid of those pesky weeds from your driveway? Well now you can with a handy everyday use blowtorch. But what about that weedkiller that's left sitting in your garden shed? Well we had the same problem, so we decided to put that in-front of the blowtorch also!

This proved to be rather interesting when coming to actually remove the weed killer from the blowtorch area, as the smell was surprisingly overpowering.... not one to try at home people! Don't breath this as Tom Morello would say!

Looking into the world of 3D is quite interesting, what's not interesting however is looking through a pair of 3D sunglasses when you have nothing in 3D to actually look at. Therefore we have come to the conclusion that we no longer need these and it would be interesting to see what would happen if they are subjected to an extreme amount of heat!

Another very fast experiment here, with the glasses melting rather quickly and giving of quite a potent odour which caused me to feel quite ill. Also they are not very fire resistant which has me concerned if I'm ever caught in a cinema fire!!!!

You use it to change channel, it helps you stay warm in bed when you want to watch many different things on the box...
Well now its on the tube...the YouTube, and its time to meet its fiery end as we stick this old Tv Remote in-front of our blowtorch.
This was horrific, as once again the smell of the Nokia 3310 returns. Not only that but the buttons gave of quite a distinct odour and its not an experiment I would repeat. Overall the remote itself survived pretty well, but the faceplate of it is no longer usable by today's standards!

In episode 8, we put an O2 Top-up card in-front of our blowtorch. I kind of had an idea this experiment would not go very well or fail completely, however we did get some burning and melting!

This Samsung flash drive has a serious read and memory storage error. Its made of some kind of metal which could prove interesting when it goes up against the might of our Blowtorch!

This experiment started of quite boring. This changed however when the pen drive began to brown and warp! This soon turned into liquid metal dripping from it... very interesting experiment and as always... you wont be using this to store data any time soon!

The Compact Disc has sold roughly 200 Billion times over the last few years, this particular CD has a virus on it, which really needs to be cremated to remove possible infection!!

The CD did not fair to well against the might of our blowtorch :( In fact not only did it destroy the virus and the CD... It left a gaping hole right through the middle of it. It is therefore recommended that you do not let any CD's fall in front of a blowtorch any time soon. With regards to smell, not bad... however its did produce some thick black smoke and I would recommend standing downwind just in case!

Its one of the greatest TV shows on the planet but this CD is old....really old! Instead of throwing it out, we decide to test it against our blowtorch.

Once again the smell of burning plastic fills my garden. I was extremely surprised that it did not burn right through the case, however the CD inside was not so lucky. Upon closer inspection the charred remains inside can clearly be seen and this CD wont be working any time soon!

Back in the old days, web pages used to take hours to load and the frustration of this could build into a seething rage. it was impossible to watch HD videos, play games etc etc.
In today's world all this is now possible thanks to ADSL and having found this modem in draw, we decided it was time to get revenge on it.

One of our unexpected exploding items, the transistors flew off this like crazy sending me running for cover, however only part of the modem got burned as the set-up was very incorrect. Its was still an interesting experiment to try and a motherboard will soon be on the cards!

The Nokia 3310, or as many call it the Nokia Brick, was one of the early mobile phones to hit the streets and was the "in thing" back in the 1990's. I found this lying in my Loft and decided to make it part of the show

When I first did this, I was not expecting the kind of smell that could knock out an elephant from 100 yards away!!! Only after the fire had been put out and the phone soaked in a tub of water for 20 minutes, was I able to get to grips with holding it and finishing off the video. Without doubt.. worst item I have EVER done!

The Nokia N95, was a great phone, featuring High Definition Video and Video Calling, it was the must have accessory back in 2006!
Now however there are much better phones on the market... and with this in mind (and the fact that ours refuses to turn on) we decided to see what happens when you blowtorch a Nokia N95....

From the moment it was set alight, the LCD screen began to crystallize and within 30 seconds the plastic had melted, black smoke was everywhere and a rather hideous smell was lingering in the air, and by hideous I mean you could not breath this in for more than 10 seconds without having a seizure!!!
In all it took several flips and repositioning of the phone to complete the experiment, but wow... this was an eye opener!

It could be said that blow torching a smoke alarm is one of the more interesting experiments on the show. We say this for 1 reason... (1) It is interesting to see what happens to a smoke alarm when it gets set on fire, as its supposed to save your life.
So on the morning of the 14th October 2011, we set-up the first experiment unaware of what was about to happen! (Video Below)

At first it seemed like the plastic was just turning brown, however the true force of the blowtorch then began to melt the plastic, then the insides began to drip onto the wooden supports and finally, billowing smoke engulfed the garden in which we were filming. That being said, it was pure awful and I would never do this again!!!
Overall result was a jellyfish like item which smells rotten and needs to go to the nearest trash can!
